Coca-Cola Cans from Korea in 2003

 

2003년 3월 19일에 제작된 일반 코카콜라 패키지입니다. 빨간색 바탕에 코카콜라 컨투어병 뚜껑을 따는 순간의 이미지와 그 위로 스펜서체의 코카콜라 로고가 이 때까지의 기본 디자인입니다.

 

This is a regular Coca-Cola package produced on March 19, 2003. The image of a Coca-Cola contour bottle cap being opened on a red background, with the Coca-Cola logo in Spencer type above it, was the basic design until then.

 

2003년 11월 25일 제작된 리니지2 디자인 패키지입니다. 한국의 엔씨소프트가 제작해서 세계적으로 히트한 리니지 게임의 업데이트 신작 리니지2 오픈과 때맞춰 진행된 패키지입니다. 그리고 주목할 점은 코카-콜라의 기본 패키지 디자인이 이 시기에 변경됩니다. 위의 사진 2장을 비교하시면 쉽게 아실 수 있습니다. 이 때부터 물결 무늬 패턴에 더 커진 하얀색 스펜서체 코카-콜라 로고가 기본 패키지 디자인으로 사용됩니다.

 

This is the Lineage 2, an online game design package, produced on November 25, 2003. It was released to coincide with the launch of Lineage 2, the new update to the globally popular Lineage game developed by NCsoft in Korea. It's also worth noting that Coca-Cola's basic package design changed around this time. Compare the two photos above to easily see this change. From this point on, a larger, white Spencer font Coca-Cola logo with a wave pattern became the default package design.

 

위 사진 속에 패키지는 2004년에 제작된 또 다른 캐릭터가 디자인 되어 있는 리니지2 프로모션 패키지입니다. 2004년에는 한국코카-콜라에서 브랜드 홈페이지와 별도로 4월 16일 코크플레이(www.cokeplay.com)라고 하는 프로모션 홈페이지를 오픈합니다. 위 사진 속 캔은 2004년 7월 12일 제작된 패키지로 코크플레이 오픈 고지 내용이 상단에 별도로 프린트 되어 있습니다.

 

The package in the photo above is a Lineage 2 promotional package with another character design produced in 2004. In 2004, Coca-Cola Korea opened a promotional homepage called CokePlay(http://www.cokeplay.com) on April 16, separate from the brand homepage. The can in the photo above is a package produced on July 12, 2004, with the Coke Play opening notice printed separately at the top.
