Coca-Cola Cans from Korea in 2001

 

 

오늘은 한국 코카-콜라 패키지 소개 두번째 포스트로 2001년 패키지입니다. 2001년은 월드컵이나 올림픽같은 세계적 이벤트가 없었던 관계로 패키지도 자체 프로모션 홍보 디자인들이 주를 이뤘습니다. 많이 수집은 못했고 그 해 여름 블록버스터 개봉에 따른 프로모션을 진행했던 패키지와 390ml 페트병만 보이네요.

 

Today's second post introducing Korean Coca-Cola packages is the 2001 package. Because there were no global events like the World Cup or the Olympics in 2001, the package was primarily comprised of self-promotional designs. I haven't collected much, but the only items I can see are the promotional package for that year's summer blockbuster release and the 390ml PET bottle.

사진 속에서 확인 가능하지요? 안젤리나 졸리(Angelina Jolie)가 출연했던 툼레이더(TomRaider)의 포스터 컷이네요. 해당 제품은 2001년 7월 21일 생산 제품입니다.

 

Can you see it in the photo? It's a poster cut from the movie Tomb Raider, starring Angelina Jolie. This product was manufactured on July 21, 2001.

 

위 사진은 별도의 프로모션 패키지는 아니고 당시 일반 디자인의 페트병 제품입니다. 병 모양이나 중앙띠 부분의 디자인이 지금과는 많이 다릅니다. 그리고 페트병 뚜껑 위의 로고도 이후로 여러번 바뀌었습니다. Cokeplay.com 런칭 이후 한 동안은 Cokeplay가 주요 소재였고, 겨울 시즌에는 광고 소재에 맞춰 북극곰이 있기도 합니다.

 

The photo above isn't a special promotional package, but rather a standard PET bottle design from the time. The bottle shape and center label design are significantly different from today's. The logo on the bottle cap has also changed several times since then. For a while after the launch of Cokeplay.com, Cokeplay was the main item, and during the winter season, there were also polar bears in accordance with commercial advertising.
