Coke Cans from Various Countries

지난 번 포스트에 올렸던 것처럼 세계 각 국마다 캔 패키지에는 미세하게 차이가 있습니다. 우리나라에서는 음료수용으로는 250ml 캔이 일반적이지만, 전세계적으로는 330ml가 가장 일반적인 패키지인 것 같습니다. 그리고 이 330ml 원통형 캔만 하더라도 그 용기의 모양이나 용량에는 미세한 차이들이 있습니다. 이는 각 국의 음식문화와도 밀접한 관계가 있지 않을까 생각됩니다.

 

As I mentioned in my last post, there are subtle differences in the can packaging around the world. In Korea, 250ml cans are common for beverages, but globally, 330ml seems to be the most common packaging. Even within these 330ml cylindrical cans, there are subtle differences in the shape and capacity. This likely has a close relationship to each country's food culture.

1. 한국 체리 코크(Cherry Coke from Korea) 330ml

2. 태국 코카-콜라 클래식(Coca-Cola Classic from Thailand) 325ml

3. 필리핀 코카-콜라 클래식 : 필리핀 75주년 기념 디자인(Coca-Cola Classic from Philippines - Coca Cola 75 Years in Phillipines) 330ml

4. 미국 코카-콜라 클래식 : 미국 올림픽팀 후원 로고 삽입(Coca-Cola Classic from USA - Sponsor of the US Olympic Team Logo Printed) 355ml

5. 캐나다 코카-콜라 클래식 : NHL 시리즈 디자인(Coca-Cola Classic from Canada - NFL Series : Vancouver Canucks) 355ml

자세히 보면 캔 상단의 디자인에서 약간씩 차이가 있으며, 용량도 325ml부터 355ml에 이르기까지 조금식 차이가 납니다. 각 국마다 이 외에도 다양한 용량의 캔들이 판매되고 있습니다. 우리 나라의 경우 330ml는 대형마트나 카페, 샌드위치 전문점 등에만 공급되는 것 같습니다. 일반 소매점에서는 주로 250ml 캔이 판매되고 있습니다.

 

A closer look reveals slight differences in the design of the can top, and the capacity also varies slightly, from 325ml to 355ml. Each country sells cans in various capacities. In Korea, 330ml cans seem to be only available at large supermarkets, cafes, and sandwich shops. 250ml cans are primarily sold at general retailers.
