Interview with bimonthly magazine ART & COLLECTOR

지난 2월에 진행했던 인터뷰 기사가 미술 및 미술경매 전문 격월간지 아트앤컬렉터(ART & COLLECTOR) 3,4월호에 실렸습니다. 격월간지다 보니 인터뷰하고 나서 결과가 궁굼했었는데 지난 주에 인터뷰 진행했던 기자님께서 잡지를 보내주셔서 내용을 확인할 수 있었습니다.

 

The interview I conducted last February was published in the March/April issue of ART & COLLECTOR, a bimonthly magazine specializing in art and art auctions. As a bimonthly publication, I was curious about the results after the interview, and last week, the reporter who conducted the interview sent me a copy of the magazine, allowing me to review the content.

ART & COLLECTOR is a bimonthly art-lifestyle magazine for art collectors and auction houses. 

 

 

그렇게 내세울만한 게 없음에도 불구하고 네 페이지나 할애해 주셔서 제 이야기와 일부 컬렉션을 소개하고 있습니다.  

 

언제부턴가 수집이 단순 취미 활동이 아닌 예술의 한 분야로 자리매김하고 있는 느낌입니다. 수집아트라는 용어도 심심챦게 쓰이고...아직 인터뷰까지 하기에는 많이 부족한 게 사실이지만, 기회가 되는대로 수집 저변을 확대하는 차원에서 열심히 응하고 있습니다. 할 때마다 창피하고 부끄럽지만, 한편으론 더 열심히 수집하고, 공부해서 다음에는 조금 더 전문적이고 의미있는 이야기를 해야겠다는 반성을 하게됩니다.

 

Despite having nothing much to boast about, I'm grateful for the four pages dedicated to sharing my story and some of my collection.

It feels like collecting has become more than just a hobby, but a form of art. The term "collecting art" is being used so loosely... While I'm still far from being qualified for interviews, I diligently accept opportunities to broaden the scope of collecting. Every time I do, I feel embarrassed and ashamed, but it also motivates me to collect more diligently and study more, so that I can deliver more professional and meaningful stories next time.
