' A New Discovery of Spare Time' Exhibition : Cultural Station Seoul 284 (2013. 3. 23 ~ 4. 14)

오는 3월 23일 구 서울역사에서 오픈하는 <서브컬처 익스프레스 - 여가의 새발견>전에 참여합니다. 여가를 일상에서 예술까지의 몇 가지 형태로 표현하는 전시회입니다. 여가의 일상적 측면에서는 최근 소비의 큰 트렌드로 자리잡은 '캠핑'을, 일상과 예술의 중간 단계적 모습을 '수집'이라는 테마로, 그리고 실제로 예술의 경지로 끌어올린 작가들의 작품까지 몇 개의 구역을 나누어 하나의 전시로 진행합니다.

 

I'm participating in the exhibition "Subculture Express - "A New Discovery of Spare Time," opening at the old Seoul Station on March 23rd. This exhibition explores spare time in various forms, from everyday life to art. The everyday aspect of spare time is explored through the theme of "camping," a recent major consumer trend. The exhibition explores the intersection between everyday life and art through the theme of "collecting." Finally, the exhibition showcases the work of artists who have elevated this form to the realm of art. The exhibition is divided into several sections, all presented as a single exhibition.

 

저는 수집가의 일원으로 참여하며 약 300여 점의 코카-콜라 관련 수집품을 전시합니다. 저 외에 스타벅스 텀블러, 베어브릭, 고전 장난감을 수집하시는 분도 참여하시고 레고 동호회에서도 참여하여 전시하는 것으로 알고 있습니다.

 

As a member of a collection, I'm exhibiting about 300 Coca-Cola-related collectibles. I also know that other collectors of Starbucks tumblers, Bearbricks, and classic toys are participating, as well as members of the Lego club.
