Arko Art Center, Daehangno: Landscape of Memory Exhibition(2010. 5. 19 - 6. 27)

My first Coke collection exhibition was held in Arko Art center in Seoul in 2010. 5. 19 ~ 6.27.

 

저는 9명의 일반인 수집가와 8명의 화가가 참여한 전시회 "기억의 풍경"을 관람했습니다. 전시회 관련 책자와 초대장을 받았지만, 개막 후 거의 한 달이 지나서야 겨우 방문할 수 있었습니다.

 

I visited the exhibition "Landscapes of Memory," featuring nine public collectors and eight artists. I received an art book and an invitation to the exhibition, but I finally got around to it nearly a month after it opened.

 

 

지난 4월 광고갤러리에서의 전시가 프리오픈의 형태로 진행되다보니 금번 아르코미술관 전시는 제법 전시회다운 모습이었습니다.

 

As the exhibition at the Advertising Gallery in April was held in the form of a pre-opening, this exhibition at the Arko Art Museum was quite an exhibition-like event.

 

 

사실 전시회만이 아니라 대학로에 간 것도 오랜만인 것 같습니다. 평일이라 그런지 사람들이 많지 않았습니다.

전시회는 무료지만 매표소에서 입장권을 받아야 합니다.

 

Actually, it's been a while since I've been to Daehakro, let alone the exhibition. Perhaps because it was a weekday, there weren't many people.
The exhibition is free, but you must obtain a ticket at the box office.

 

전시는 아르코미술관 1층과 2층 전시실에서 진행하고 있습니다. 먼저 1층 제1저시실에는 79명의 수집가와 8명의 예술가의 수집품 및 작품을 사진 촬영하여 배너로 제작해서 전시하고 있습니다.

 

The exhibition is taking place on the first and second floors of the Arko Art Center. First, in Exhibition Room 1 on the first floor, the collections and works of 79 collectors and eight artists are photographed and displayed as banners.

 

저의 전시 포스터 배너입니다. 전체 400여 개의 수집품 중에서 먼저 약 60 점만 사진 촬영을 진행하여 전시하고 있습니다.

This is my exhibition poster banner. Of the approximately 400 items in the collection, only about 60 have been photographed and are currently on display.

 

전시실 한 켠에는 관람객이 참여하는 코너가 마련되어 있습니다. 본인의 3가지 추억을 고르면, 추억치료사(?)분께서 처방을 해줍니다.

In one corner of the exhibition hall, there's a visitor-participatory corner. Choose three memories, and a memory therapist (or something like that) will prescribe a remedy.

 

처방된 약은 2 봉지가 제조되어 하나는 참여 관람객에게, 다른 하나는 전시실 벽에 전시됩니다.

 

The prescribed medication is made into two sachets, one for each participating visitor and the other displayed on the wall of the exhibition hall.

 

 

제1전시실 관람이 끝나면 수집가에게 글을 남길 수 있고, 해당 전시 포스터를 가져올 수 있습니다.

남겨진 글은 전시회가 종료된 후에 해당 수집가에게 전달된다고 합니다.

 

After viewing the first exhibition hall, you can leave a message for the collector and take home the corresponding exhibition poster. Your message will be delivered to the collector after the exhibition closes.

 

제2전시실은 2층으로 올라가면 됩니다.

 

To get to the second exhibition room, go up to the second floor.

 

제2전시실에는 예술가 8인의 작품과 1층 전시실에서 봤던 수집품 중 일부가 실물로 전시되어 있습니다.

쿠우, 타자기, 열쇠고리, 밀리터리 피규어...2층 전시실은 사진 촬영이 허용되지 않습니다.

 

The second exhibition room displays the works of eight artists and some of the collectibles seen in the first-floor exhibition room. Qoo, typewriters, keychains, military figures... Unfortunately, photography is not permitted in the second floor exhibition hall.

 

전시는 6월 27일까지 진행되고, 입장료도 없으니까 가족 나들이 또는 연인과 데이트 하실 때 잠깐 들러서 나 아닌 다른 사람들의 특이한 기억들을 훔쳐보시면 재미있을 것 같습니다.

 

The exhibition runs until June 27th, and there's no admission fee, so it would be fun to stop by during a family outing or a date to take a peek at other people's unique memories.
