2011-12 Winter Limited Edition Coca-Cola Christmas Bottle 크리스마스 스페셜 병콜라 패키지

지난 12월 15일 드디어 한국에서 첫 크리스마스 에디션 코카-콜라가 출시되었습니다. 그것도 한정판 병제품으로.

 

As many of you may already know, the first Christmas edition Coca-Cola was finally released in Korea on December 15th. And it was a limited-edition bottle.

 

 

6병들이 종이팩과 함께 출시되었구요, 전국 대형마트(이마트, 홈플러스, 롯데마트)에서 만나보실 수 있습니다. 처음 출시 소식을 듣고 이마트로 달려갔었는데 아직 입고가 안 되었는지 빈 손으로 왔다가 지난 주에 홈플러스에서 구입하였습니다.

 

The six-bottle packs are available at major supermarkets nationwide (E-Mart, Homeplus, and Lotte Mart). When I first heard about the launch, I rushed to E-Mart, but they hadn't been restocked yet, so I came back empty-handed. I finally picked it up at Homeplus last week.

 

2011-2012 Winter Season Limited Coke Bottle

 

250ml 유리병에 전면 랩핑된 형태입니다. 전면에는 코카-콜라를 맛있게 드시고 있는 산타클로스 할아버지가 크게 들어있고, 후면부에는 코카-콜라를 양손 가득 들고 있는 산타할아버지가 작은 이미지로 들어있습니다.

 

This is a 250ml glass bottle with a full-coverage design. The front features a large image of Santa Claus enjoying a Coca-Cola, while the back features a smaller image of Santa Claus holding a handful of Coca-Cola.

 

 

뚜껑은 돌려따는 알루미늄 트위스트캡이구요, 캡 상단부에 별도 이미지는 없이 스펜서체 코카-콜라 로고가 새겨져 있습니다.

 

The cap is a twist-top aluminum cap, and the top of the cap has the Spencer font Coca-Cola logo engraved on it without any additional image.

 

 

1931년 미국에서 The Saturday Evening Post에 실린 코카-콜라 광고에 산타클로스가 등장한 이후 80년만에 한국 코카-콜라 패키지에 등장하게 되었습니다. (코카-콜라와 산타클로스에 대해서는 엮인글을 참조하시면 됩니다)

 

Santa Claus has appeared on Korean Coca-Cola packages for the first time in 80 years, since his first appearance in a Coca-Cola advertisement in The Saturday Evening Post in the United States in 1931. (For more information on Coca- Cola and Santa Claus, please refer to the related article.)

 

정확히 미국 제품 패키지에 등장한 연도는 모르겠지만 해외에서는 꽤 오래전부터 홀리데이(크리스마스) 에디션 제품이 출시되었습니다만 한국에서는 2011년 첫 출시가 되었네요. 많이 늦은만큼 굉장히 반갑습니다. 정확히 홀리데이 에디션이라고 할 순 없지만 한국에서도 2004년 겨울 북극곰 캐릭터가 등장하는 캔 제품이 나온 적은 있습니다.(https://www.cocacolaworld.co.kr/51?category=903051)

 

I don't know the exact year it first appeared on US product packaging, but overseas, holiday (Christmas) editions have been available for quite some time. In Korea, it was first released in 2011. It's quite late, so I'm very happy about it. While it's not exactly a holiday edition, a can featuring a polar bear character was released in Korea in the winter of 2004. 그 동안 한정판 패키지가 없던 한국에서 2011년 한 해 동안 125주년, 슈퍼스타K, 크리스마스 한정판 3가지 제품이 출시되었다는 점에서 2012년도 코카-콜라 컬렉터들의 마음을 설레게 합니다.^^

 

In Korea, where there had been no limited edition package until then, the release of three limited edition products in 2011 - the 125th Anniversary, Superstar K, and Christmas - has Coca-Cola collectors excited for 2012.
